Reminder - please check your student's Agenda each night. Students are to read for 60 minutes each night from a book within their range.

I am proud to join the fourth grade team this year!  I believe the key to a student's success is to create a nurturing and risk-free environment.  My goal is to help students develop a life long love of learning and to motivate them to exceed expectations.  State Bridge Crossing Elementary is a fabulous school where students are encouraged to take responsibility for learning!

Here is a little more about me:
  • Masters degree - Early Childhood Education from Brenau University
  • Family: Husband Ken is an IT Director for a non profit organization; daughter Mary is a 6th grade teacher (her husband, Joel, is an electrical engineer); son Ben was married to Alexandra on July 26th - they are both completing internships before beginning grad school; and son Nathan is a college student majoring in Construction Management.
  • Hobbies: I enjoy getting together with friends for dinner, working in the yard, reading historical novels, and ballroom dancing.  
  • Focus in the classroom: building a positive classroom environment where students take responsibility for learning
